Kristin is a foresight and communications consultant and founding director of strategic foresight agency, Bridge8. She is skilled at developing foresight, strategy and communication frameworks to help organisations and individuals have deeper and more insightful conversations about the future.
She established Bridge8 in 2004 following careers in engineering, human resources, strategy and product development for companies including BHP Billiton, Ansett-Air New Zealand, the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria and Nanotechnology Victoria.
Kristin holds a PhD in process engineering and a Masters of Management in Strategic Foresight. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governor’s Leadership Foundation. She is the licensee and organiser of TEDxAdelaide and a sessional lecturer in foresight, social change and carbon management at the University of Adelaide.
Working with New Water ReSources and her colleague James Hutson, Kristin has supported the delivery of short animations on how we think about water, water recycling and sustainability for the the Australian Water Recycling Centre of Excellence and the WateReuse Association.
In addition to water specific projects, recent work includes facilitating forums on sensing, smart cities for Adelaide City Council, the State Government of South Australia and the Environment Protection Authority as well as working with South Australian Natural Resource Management Boards on strategy development and community engagement. She was also co-organiser of the Australia 2050 workshop with the Australian Academy of Sciences.
